Book Ginny Walker for Speaking Engagements
When a child dies, life’s landscape changes forever for those left behind. Grief can feel a bit like treading water in an ocean, when there’s no sign of land, not knowing how to keep breathing, or how far to keep swimming, but knowing you have to.
I lost my 12 year old son, Ben, to acute myeloid leukaemia in the summer of 2019 after a stem cell transplant. Having been on my own grief journey over the last six years and speaking with staff earlier this year from a stem cell charity, it has motivated me to continue telling Ben’s story and leading with a legacy of kindness and hope for others on a similar path.
I feel I am ready and have the life experience to help organisations, communities and bereaved families understand the power of compassion in grief and the need for immediate and ongoing support in the workplace and within communities for those navigating the unimaginable heartbreak of child loss.
I also support bereaved parents grow with grief and help them begin to heal through modes of self-expression and self-reconnection, whilst also empowering people to participate in the life-changing altruistic decision to become a stem cell donor.
As an empath trained in various healing modalities, I am led by my instinctual nature, to gently bring light back into focus.
This is my soul-led mission and one I hope will reach all who need to hear it and feel it.
